What’s included in a typical readout service?
Services include CVR intelligibility checks, FDR parameter correlation, DLR message decoding, incident reports, and compliance statements. Deliverables may include PDF reports, CSV parameter listings, and decoded message files, depending on the recorder type.
How do you handle Data Link Recorder (DLR) messaging?
Flight Data Systems supports FANS 1/A and ATN B1 messaging, including controller/pilot communication, addressed surveillance, and operational control data. Reports identify application types, assess data continuity, and perform correlation tests when operator SOPs are provided.
What’s required from the operator to initiate a readout?
Operators must provide raw data, metadata (e.g., aircraft tail number, MSN, recorder part and serial numbers), and any applicable SOPs. For DLR services, CMU/CMF version details are also required. All data is securely uploaded via a Microsoft SharePoint portal.
How do you support fleet-wide compliance?
Flight Data Systems offers managed service agreements that include annual readouts, HHMPI download equipment, and access to incident reports. This helps operators maintain compliance with minimal administrative overhead while reducing the risk of human error.
