Flight Data Systems Announces HHMPI™ License Agreement for Honeywell’s HCR-25 Cockpit Voice and Flight Recorder Data Extraction
Flight Data Systems has entered into a licensing agreement with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies concerning the Honeywell Connected Recorder – 25 (HCR-25). This arrangement enables Flight Data Systems to retrieve data from the HCR-25 cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) utilizing their Handheld Multipurpose Tool (HHMPI). This collaboration aims to minimize maintenance duration and expenses while enhancing data accessibility for airlines, operators, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) providers.
The HCR-25 from Honeywell offers 25 hours of cockpit voice recording and meets the current requirements set by EUROCAE and the FAA for recorders. Operators gain advantages such as real-time data streaming and cloud-upload capabilities, which contribute to improved maintenance predictability and operational insights within flight operations.
Shane LaPlante, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Flight Data Systems, stated, "Our collaboration with Honeywell enhances the functionality of our HHMPI tool, delivering significant value to our customers." He further noted, "With HHMPI currently supporting nearly all of Honeywell's flight recorders, this partnership underscores our commitment to innovation and operational excellence, equipping our customers with essential tools that streamline maintenance processes while ensuring regulatory compliance."
HHMPI facilitates effortless flight data retrieval and is crafted to optimize maintenance time via its intuitive interface alongside intelligent storage and downloading features tailored to specific tail numbers. It supports various manufacturer recorders—including HCR-25 from Honeywell—by utilizing OEM-specific cables, accessories, and software to deliver substantial cost savings to clients.
Supporting nearly 50 recorders from leading OEMs, the HHMPI is acknowledged as a premier ground support tool for downloading cockpit voice and flight data. Its compact yet robust design caters specifically to aftermarket technicians by efficiently organizing aircraft fleet details for precise tail number downloads while offering effective methods for data transfer. The HHMPI is available through purchase options as well as rental agreements or consignment arrangements.
This partnership underscores Flight Data Systems' commitment to enhancing aviation ground support tools and services to improve efficiency while reducing both time and overall costs.
Flight Data Systems' Handheld Multipurpose Tool (HHMPI) is licensed to retrieve data from the HCR-25 cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR).
