Flight Data Systems has recently announced that Airflite, a renowned aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and fixed-base operator (FBO) company in Australia and Asia, has signed a multi-year contract with Flight Data Systems’ readout services. With this partnership, customers will receive fast and reliable Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorder compliance solutions in accordance with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA).

Airflite is a leading provider of aviation-related services to commercial and defense sectors and has a strong commitment to quality to ensure the safety and satisfaction of its customers. The company’s quality management systems align with those of its product and service partners, and this partnership with Flight Data Systems is no exception.

According to the Airflite Leadership team, “We have a broad customer base and support many platforms for service and compliance, and it was an easy choice to fulfill recorder compliance using Flight Data Systems’ readout services. They are the only ground-support vendor that provides a multifaceted, handheld portable download tool (HHMPI) capable of downloading from a vast majority of platforms and fast compliance reports; together, these tools and services enable us to focus on more prominent services for our customers.”

Flight Data Systems has been a pioneer in the aviation industry for over 35 years, providing exceptional cockpit voice and flight data recorder readout services. Their comprehensive range of readout services, combined with their unmatched industry leadership and experience, sets them apart from others in the industry. They support several OEM recorders and platforms, including L3Harris, Universal, Honeywell, Flight Data Systems, and other manufacturer recorders, and are actively servicing more than 100 airframes, which is a substantially larger number than other service providers.

“Airflite is one of Flight Data Systems’ premier authorized partners in the Australia and Asia region, and we are excited to have them extend their services for regulatory compliance,” said Shane LaPlante, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Flight Data Systems. “Their values and customer-focused mantra align with ours, and we are eager to help them grow their business as partners.”

The contract includes the Handheld Multipurpose Interface (HHMPI), a device designed for ease of use, and a multi-year agreement for readout services. The HHMPI is the leading data download device in the industry, offering a versatile and user-friendly interface with efficient performance. It provides multi-fleet, multi-manufacturer CVR and FDR downloads for over 100 airframes with various options for data downloading, live data viewing and easy data transfer for further readout or Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) analysis.

Flight Data Systems’ readout services offer quick turnaround times of just three days or less, 24/7, for AOG and incident investigation. The reports are compliant with the framework requirements of EASA, FAA, and ICAO.
